What’s holding back millennials?

Take 15 mins and watch video below!

I’m so happy we haven’t given our youngest girls phones yet and from time to time they get upset with us for this cause all their friends have phones. I love how they can read books for hrs on end, actually play with toys and use their imagination. Don’t get me wrong, they have Ipads and love being on them, but there are days they don’t even ask to use them, I love that!
In our home we still sit down for dinner as a family, no phones.. just real conversation! Our time at the dinner table can last up to two hours and I wouldn’t trade that for the world!
As parents we’ve created this busy life and it’s not right that our children are suffering for it, I don’t want my daughters to run to social media for help, I want them to know that it’s ok to sit down and share with Mom and Dad when things aren’t going well or they have questions and I love how my girls still do this! It might be hard to make time for some of this or put that phone down for a few hrs, but trust me…. it’s so worth it!!

Christmas tree ornaments

Each year my husband and I buy a little ornament for each of our girls. they’ve already got themselves a wonderful collection and seeing my daughters put them on the tree has become a favourite Christmas tradition of mine.

Found this wonderful Christmas tree ornament tutorial! This year I’m going to give it a try with my girls! I’m sure it will be a fun little project that they’ll be asking to do every year!

Will update you with some pictures real soon! Link below.

Mini Corn Dog Muffins

These mini corn dog muffins were a huge hit in my house, from day one I’ve made most everything from scratch and those moments where I don’t feel like cooking and try to whip up a quick box of Kraft dinner or cook up a pizza pop for my kids they look at me like I’m crazy. My kids have become a little spoiled with solid home cooked meals, they don’t seem to care for the boxed or frozen foods much. I decided to look around online and test a few recipes out, one weekend my mother in law and I decided to make these mini corn dog muffins and to my surprise my kids loved them.  These muffins are easy to make and can be stored in the refrigerator for a few day,  they make a great quick snack and are a great school lunch idea.
